Yukon Film Industry Association

The Northern Film and Video Industry Association (NFVIA) is a voluntary industry organization that has grown quickly since its inception in 1999. Seeing a growing need for support, training and organization in the film and video sector, our members formed the association to help shape the future of film and video production in Canada's Yukon Territory.
 
With a strong and expanding membership, professional rental equipment and solid ties to the business community and the Yukon Film and Sound Commission, we have a great deal to offer productions and filmmakers thinking of the Yukon for their next project.

The Northern Film and Video Industry Association is working to build a thriving Yukon film industry supplying a trained crew and the infrastructure needed to meet the expectations of professional production.
 
We've identified the following 6 areas as critical to the development and expansion of the Film Industry in the Yukon Territory.

President’s message

I am looking forward to another exciting year of filming in the Yukon. There have been some amazing projects here, of both local and international scope. With each shoot that comes to the Yukon, we gain experience and learn how better to meet the needs of producers.
 
I am very proud of our third edition of the Yukon Film Production Guide with a new modern look that will complement our newly re-designed website. Both of these projects will allow us to support the development of the Yukon film industry better than ever.
 
We are committed to developing a thriving film industry in the Yukon and we are confident of our Crew’s willingness to do what it takes to help producers achieve their vision. We plan to continue to invest in training geared to integrate hands-on workshops with on-set work experience. We are very proud of our accomplishments to date and we look to the future of the film industry in the Yukon with great optimism.
